PHS7303 - This course is an exploration in understanding the impact of British colonial narratives in the restructuring of the Hindu society. Varna and jati have been part of the Hindu society since antiquity but caste is a European phenomenon, which was transposed on the Hindu society to first make sense of them and consequently restructure them.
Dr. Kundan Singh holds a doctorate in Humanities with a Concentration in East-West Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, San Francisco, California. Earlier he obtained an M.A. in Applied Psychology with a Concentration in Social Psychology from the University of Delhi, India.
