Sri Swami Svātmananda, MA

Sri Swāmi Svātmānanda is a traditional Hindu Sannyasin (monk) of the Advaita Vedanta tradition, initiated by his Guru Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati of the Arsha Vidya Gurukulam lineage. He obtained a Vedanta Shastri (MA) degree from Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Nagpur, India, and a Certificate in Sanskrit and Vedanta from Arsha Vijnana Gurukulam, Nagpur, India.

He lectures to groups worldwide on Vedic knowledge including Yoga, Meditation, Jyotisha (Vedic Astrology), Ayurveda (Natural Health), Vāstu (Spiritual architecture), and Vedanta. Swami Satyananda traveled great distances to learn from the foremost experts of Vedic knowledge in India and the U.S., including a three-year course of Vedanta and Sanskrit under the tutelage and blessing of the eminent scholar Pujya Swami Dayananda Saraswati. He learned from his Guru, how to unfold the vision of Vedanta, and the Bhagavad Gita, with ease and clarity making it accessible to anyone interested these sacred teachings. His rare combination of innate skills, broad life experience, and dedicated study translates into a uniquely comprehensive and multicultural approach to teaching and applying Vedic wisdom in modern times.

Before being ordained as a Hindu monk, he utilized his technological skills and entrepreneurial instinct to help start and manage over forty business and philanthropic ventures, in technology, venture capital, international business as well as the non-profit sector. He obtained a Global Master of Business Administration (GMBA) from the American Graduate School of International Management – Thunderbird, Phoenix, Arizona, USA (now part of University of Arizona and called Thunderbird School of Global Management). He had a successful career in International Development, and he testified to the 101st United States Congress on behalf of small businesses.
