Dr. Nirmala Ranganathan Chetty, also known as Sahila, is an accomplished physician and wellness advocate with a unique approach that integrates modern medicine with traditional Indian sciences such as Yoga, Ayurveda, and Chakras. She holds an MD in Internal Medicine from the United States and is recognized for her pioneering work in combining Western medical practices with holistic wellness approaches.
Dr. Sahila completed her MBBS at M.S. Ramaiah College in Bangalore, India, and continued her medical journey with residency training in New Jersey, USA. After nearly 15 years of practicing medicine in the United States, working at various hospitals, she decided to shift her focus from disease-care to wellness.
As the founder of Wellness with Sahila, Dr. Sahila has authored and published several books, including titles such as the “Chakra Handbook,” “The Why Behind Cancer,” and “Sattvic Diet for the US.” She is actively working on additional publications related to obesity, the science of Kundalini, mind reprogramming, and more.
Dr. Sahila’s approach to wellness involves combining her medical expertise with insights from Raja Yoga and a particular emphasis on Yoga Chakras. Through her online wellness programs, she has coached thousands of students worldwide, helping them reverse illnesses and achieve holistic well-being.
Beyond her medical and wellness work, Dr. Sahila is a prominent figure on social media, with close to 100K followers across various platforms. She shares her insights through podcasts on diverse wellness-related topics. Additionally, she is involved in philanthropic projects supporting orphaned children and abandoned elders in India, raising funds through her wellness organization.
